Several chefs are competing for two titles: Best Texas Chili and The Niagara Chili Festival People's Choice. Purchase a tasting tray upon arrival (proceeds go to the Niagara Region charity Red Roof Retreat), sample each chef's tear-jerking pots and vote for the People's Choice award. Celebrity judges, such as the Food Network's Anna Olson and columnist Lynn Orgryzlo, will vote for the Best Texas Chili on behalf of the International Chili Society. The winner will have the chance to take their award-winning chili to other International Chili Society events.
