Each workshop is an animated exploration of carnival celebrations in Canada and around the world. This program is designed for families with children aged 6 to 13. Each workshop is two hours in length. Workshop participants will use a combination of 3D clay and paper-cut out animation techniques. January 30 Paris Carnival (France) Animate a winter celebration in The City of Light! January 31 Winter Carnival (North America) Get out and enjoy all that winter has to offer: snow and ice sculpting, winter sports, ice skating, sleigh rides and more! February 6 Carnaval! (Brazil) Put on a mask and dance your way through a costumed parade! February 7 Festival du Voyageur (Manitoba) Travel back in time to Winnipeg’s French Quarter and celebrate Canada’s fur trading past.
